I started working in travel when I was sixteen years old. Two summers as a trainee at a travel agency during high school, then full-time after graduation — even during my first year at university. Back then, I didn’t think of it as a career. It was just something I loved doing: helping people go somewhere, and making sure they arrived well.
That thread has never broken. In the years that followed, I built my career inside some of Istanbul’s most demanding hospitality environments — from a five-star hotel on the Bosphorus to two of the world’s most recognised luxury brands. Fourteen years of watching people arrive in this city, and learning — sometimes in very small details — what makes them feel genuinely cared for, and what makes them feel lost.
A significant number of the guests I worked with came to Istanbul for medical treatment. They came for hair transplants, dental work, cosmetic procedures, and complex surgeries. They came from Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and beyond. Some arrived informed and confident. Many arrived with questions they were afraid to ask — of their clinic, of their coordinator, of anyone with a commercial interest in their decision. Those are the people Care & Stay was built for.
What Care & Stay is
Care & Stay is an independent information platform for international patients considering medical travel to Istanbul and Turkey. Every article published here is written with one purpose: to give you the honest, insider perspective that helps you make better decisions before you travel, not after.
We are not a clinic. We are not an agency. We do not book procedures, take referral fees, or accept payment to feature any provider. The moment we did any of those things, we would become one more platform with an agenda — and there are already enough of those.
What we offer instead is rarer: genuine insider knowledge of Istanbul, built over a lifetime of working inside its hospitality and luxury world, offered freely to anyone who needs it. Every article on this platform is free. It always will be.
Who is behind it
Care & Stay was founded by someone who has spent over fourteen years working inside Istanbul’s luxury hospitality and high-end brand world — long enough to understand both what this city offers, and what international visitors genuinely need to navigate it well.
The platform is part of Pinetree Group, a small Istanbul-based venture whose businesses share one common thread: that genuine expertise, offered honestly, is the rarest thing in any industry.
